Canada, the US and Mexico share the largest trade relationship in the world:
$2 Trillion in trade a year
$4.1 Billion in cross-border trade every day
$170 Million in cross-border trade every hour
We are each other's biggest customer
These numbers mean jobs for workers, opportunities for small businesses, and resilient supply chains. From the net zero solutions of the future to building automobiles, we are doing it hand in hand, and that is exactly what I shared at the Washington Conference today.

To understand our North American competitiveness in a visual way - let me share an analogy
. Take the tomato sauce you have in your pantry, maybe its Barilla or Rao’s… no one country can make this sauce on its own! That’s where CUSMA comes in. We need the tomatoes, onions and garlic from the U.S., the Carrots from Canada, and the celery and green peppers from Mexico. Only together does it make a great sauce – and only together are our countries stronger.
