In June, we saw one of the most terrible hate-motivated crimes take place right here on Canadian soil. My colleagues and I will always stand up against Islamophobia as there is no room for such hate in our communities. I took some time to attend a local vigil which reflected on not only those that we have lost, but also on those that continue to face such harsh realities. My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the family and those that have been impacted by such a terrible act.
