Summer is the time for young Canadians to earn money and build the skills and experience they need for their futures.

The hiring period for Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) 2020 has begun. The first wave of CSJ job placements will be available on jobbank.gc.ca and the Job Bank app.

CSJ provides funding to help employers create summer job opportunities for youth so they can develop skills, gain meaningful workplace experience and fill any labour gaps the employer may have.

This year, job opportunities will be available starting today, May 15, 2020, with some placements ending February 28, 2021.

Youth can go to jobbank.gc.ca/youth or download the Job Bank mobile app to find all approved employers who are hiring in their local communities. Job seekers should keep checking Job Bank for updates on available placements, including Canada Emergency Student Benefit applicants who are required to verify that they are looking for work as part of the eligibility process.
