Today, I joined people in Markham—Thornhill who came together to stand in solidarity with the Black community. We all need to step up and take action to fight against anti-Black racism here and across the country.

Sydney Baxter an inspiration grade 11 student at the Markham District High School was the community leader behind organizing this event. It was incredible to witness the power of youth as they led the mobilization of bringing the people of Markham together to stand in solidarity with the Black community.
