May is Asian Heritage Month in Canada, a time to reflect on and celebrate the contributions that Canadians of Asian origin continue to make, to the growth and prosperity of Canada. This month we honour the legacy of Canadians of Asian origin who, throughout Canadian history, have done so much to make Canada the culturally diverse, compassionate and prosperous nation we know today.

For 2019, the theme of the Government of Canada's Asian Heritage Month campaign is "Asian Canadian Youth: Shaping Canada's Future." This year's campaign highlights the contributions that Asian Canadian youth have made, and continue to make, in shaping Canada's heritage and identity.
